Pelosi Ignores CDC Guidelines, Forces Vaccinated Members to Wear Masks on House Floor
House Speaker keeps mask mandates
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has ignored the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) new guidelines, lifting mask mandates on vaccinated Americans, and forced members to wear masks on the House floor.
When asked if she would change the rule requiring masks on the floor, Pelosi said:
“Are they all vaccinated?" she replied.

“No,” Pelosi said. “Are they all vaccinated?”
Meanwhile, a letter was signed by 33 House Republicans demanding Pelosi normalize voting procedures and return to maskless House requirements, the Daily Caller reported.
Rep. Bob Gibbs (R-OH) wrote in the letter:
“Speaker Pelosi, In accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance released on May 13, 2021, we urge you to immediately return to normal voting procedures and end mandatory mask requirements in the House of Representatives."
The CDC lifted its requirements for mask mandates for fully vaccinated Americans.
Dr. Rochelle Walensky announced:
“Anyone who is fully vaccinated can participate in indoor and outdoor activities large or small without wearing a mask or physical distancing."
“This is an exciting and powerful moment.”
Walensky did warn that unvaccinated people should continue masking and social distancing until they are fully vaccinated.
“You remain at risk of mild or severe illness, of death, or of spreading the disease to others,” she said.
“You should still mask, and you should get vaccinated right away.”
Democrat Joe Biden earlier said that Americans who refused the coronavirus vaccine need to continue wearing masks.
Tweeting from the official presidential account, Biden wrote:
“The rule is now simple: get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do,” Biden said.
“The choice is yours.”
