Lindsey Graham: GOP Can’t Grow Without President Donald Trump
'I’ve determined we can’t grow without him'

Sen. Lindsey Graham went against Liz Cheney's notion that the Republican Party needs to move beyond President Donald Trump, insisting Trump is the only person to help the party grow.
During an appearance on FNC’s “Hannity,” Graham said the Trump agenda brought more people to GOP and attracted new voters.
“I would just say to my Republican colleagues: Can we move forward without President Trump? The answer is no,” he said.
“I’ve always liked Liz Cheney, but she’s made a determination that the Republican Party can’t grow with President Trump."
'I’ve determined we can’t grow without him," Graham said.

"All of these people like Herschel Walker and all the people you just named are attracted to the Trump Republican Party, economic populism, ‘America First’ agenda."
"If you don’t get that as a Republican, you’re making the biggest mistake in the history of the Republican Party.”
“The reason our party is growing with minorities and with working men and women is that President Trump appears to be on the side of people working really hard, appears to be on the side of opportunity, not dependency, because he is,” Graham added.
Last week, Rep. Liz Cheney urged Republicans to "steer away" from the "Trump cult of personality."

Cheney turned to the leftist establishment media for help by writing an op-ed in The Washington Post, asserting that "the GOP is at a turning point" and "history is watching us."
Cheney wrote:
"In public statements again this week, former President Donald Trump has repeated his claims that the 2020 election was a fraud and was stolen."
"His message: I am still the rightful president, and President Biden is illegitimate."
"Trump repeats these words now with full knowledge that exactly this type of language provoked violence on Jan. 6."
Trump issued a statement the same day as Cheney's op-ed, writing:
"Liz Cheney is a warmongering fool who has no business in Republican Party Leadership. We want leaders who believe in the Make America Great Again movement and prioritize the values of America First."
"Elise Stefanik is a far superior choice, and she has my COMPLETE and TOTAL endorsement for GOP Conference Chair. Elise is a tough and smart communicator!"
