Caitlyn Jenner: America in Desperate Need of a Border Wall
'We can’t have a state, we can’t have a country, without a secure wall'
Republican California gubernatorial candidate Caitlyn Jenner said the United States is in desperate need of a border wall.
During an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Jenner voiced support for Donald Trump’s policy of building a wall.
“I am all for the wall, I would secure the wall,” Jenner said.
“We can’t have a state, we can’t have a country, without a secure wall.”
“You have two questions here,” the gubernatorial candidate added.
“One is stopping people from coming in illegally into the state."
"And then the second question is, what do we do with the people that are here?" Jenner said.
Although Jenner said some people need to be deported, the former Olympian noted that some great people had immigrated to the country.
“We are a compassionate country, okay?” Jenner continued.
“We are a compassionate state."
"Some help, I mean, some people we’re going to send back, okay, no question about that," Jenner added.
"But I have met some of the greatest immigrants into our country.”
Earlier this week, Jenner faced backlash from leftists for stating that biological males competing in female sports events "just isn't fair."
Jenner bashed the idea of transgender athletes while speaking with a TMZ reporter.
When asked about certain states that have passed legislation to protect girls’ sports from transgender biological boys participating in them, Jenner said:
“This is a question of fairness.”
“That’s why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls’ sports in school,” Jenner said.
