Biden Blasted for 'Pure Lie' that Trump to Blame for Border Crisis
Former DHS acting Secretary Chad Wolf slams Biden administration
Former Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Acting Secretary Chad Wolf has accused Joe Biden of telling a "pure lie" after claiming that President Donald Trump is to blame for the border crisis.
On Friday, Wolf blasted Biden after the White House claimed Trump's DHS stonewalled during the transition of power.
The Biden admin blames the alleged stonewalling for contributing to the illegal immigration crisis at the U.S. southern border.
Biden claimed in an interview with the “TODAY” show that aired Friday morning that Wolf’s department refused to share information with Biden’s transition team.
He claimed it left a mess for Biden’s administration to clean up after he took office.
Wolf responded to the claims on Twitter, accusing Biden of lying while trying to scapegoat President Trump’s administration for his own policy failures.
“While I respect the Presidency, this is a pure lie,” Wolf said.
"The admin is looking for any reason to explain the crisis they created.
"We briefed the transition team numerous, numerous times."
Wolf also hit back at claims by Biden that Trump had left DHS and the Department of Defense understaffed after firing many officials.
"And the reference to firing officials is lunacy,” Wolf said.
"Someone might want to remind the Admin that firing a federal employee is near impossible.
"The media needs to hold the Admin accountable for lying to the American people."

In the interview with “TODAY,” Biden blamed Trump for the unprecedented crisis Biden’s administration is struggling to handle on the southern border as a flood of illegal immigrants into the United States.
Biden said the crisis is a result of “the failure to have a real transition — cooperation from the last administration, like every other administration has done,” according to NBC News.
“The two departments that didn’t give us access to virtually anything were the immigration and the Defense Department,” Biden said.
He added that both departments were “understaffed considerably” by the time he took office.
Americans largely disapprove of how Biden is handling the border crisis.
The Biden administration and Democratic leaders have refused to call the flood of illegal immigration a “crisis,” repeatedly referring to the situation on the border as a challenge.
Americans broadly consider the southern border to be in “crisis,” however, according to polling.
As The Daily Wire reports:
A large majority of Americans believe the border situation is a crisis and do not approve of how President Joe Biden is handling it, according to a recent CNN poll.
Of those polled, 78% view what is going on at the border as a crisis, compared to only 19% who believe otherwise. CNN also determined that 65% of voters disapprove of how Biden is handling the situation, which contrasts sharply with the 29% who approve.
The poll, which questioned 1,004 people between April 21-26 with a margin of error of 3.6 points, also discerned that the chaos at the border has led voters to lose enthusiasm regarding Biden’s overall immigration agenda. Those who disapproved of how the president is handling immigration polled at 53%, compared to 41% who approve.
