Biden: Stacey Abrams Could Be President if 'She Wants'
'You’ve been amazing'

Democrat Joe Biden said Stacey Abrams could be president if she wanted to, as suspicions grow she could run for governor in the state again.
During a drive-in rally for "empowering people to vote and to make their voices heard," Biden thanked Abrams.
"Stacey Abrams can be anything she wants to be — from whatever she chooses to president," Biden said.
"You’ve been amazing," Biden said, directed at Abrams.
Abrams received two Pinocchios from The Washington Post for claims she made about the GOP voting reform law in Georgia.

Abrams claimed the law would restrict hours allowed for early voting.
WaPo said Abrams' claim was misleading since counties would be able to add additional hours if they chose.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp said Abrams and other critics were "lying" about the law that he signed in March.
Abrams is expected to challenge Kemp for the state’s governorship in 2022.
A "Stop Stacey" campaign has already been launched by Republicans.
In 2018, Abrams lost to Kemp, a defeat she has never really gotten over.

Democrats showed in the 2020 elections that they have momentum in the state after winning both Senate seats.
Earlier this month, Abrams said Republicans “will not stop men from murdering women of color" in a bizzare rant to stop people voting for the party.
During an interview on MSNBC’s “The ReidOut” on Thursday, Abrams accused Republicans of not taking action to hold law enforcement officers to “accountability for their actions" and also neglecting to “protect our environment.”
Abrams said:
“What we saw happen in Georgia in 2020 and again in 2021 has, indeed, led to hysteria from Republicans."
"It is making certain as we saw with these horrific murders that if we do not have the right people in power, then they will not stop men from murdering women of color.”
