Kayleigh McEnany Slams LeBron James: 'Let's Say His Name Was LeBron Trump'
'He had the audacity to mention accountability'

Kayleigh McEnany responded to LeBron James's controversial tweets about police shootings, which he claims reflected his desire for “accountability.”
McEnany asked what “accountability” means for Mr. James following his threat against a police officer, which has since been deleted.

“With LeBron James, you know, he had the audacity to mention accountability,” she said.
“I would like to see accountability for a leftist saying something wholly inappropriate, putting a target on the back of a police officer.”
McEnany said if the NBA star were a conservative or named “LeBron Trump," he would be canceled.

“For a moment, think that this was not some celebrity athlete from the left, LeBron James," McEnany said.
"Let’s say his name was LeBron Trump, and he was a right-wing activist,” she added.
“He would be banned from Twitter, and he would lose his job, likely.
"He’d lose all his sponsorships, and he would be relegated to the outskirts of society,” Ms. McEnany said.
Mr. James tweeted a photo of the officer with the two words “YOU’RE NEXT” and an hourglass to his 50 million social media followers.

James’ tweet did not age well as body-camera footage showed Ms. Bryant wielding a knife as she moved to stab a Black woman when the officer shot her.
“I’m so damn tired of seeing Black people killed by police. I took the tweet down because its being used to create more hate -This isn’t about one officer. it’s about the entire system, and they always use our words to create more racism. I am so desperate for more ACCOUNTABILITY,” he wrote Wednesday evening.

Trump has slammed James following his tweet:
“LeBron James should focus on basketball rather than presiding over the destruction of the NBA, which has just recorded the lowest television RATINGS, by far, in the long and distinguished history of the League,” Trump said on Thursday.
“His RACIST rants are divisive, nasty, insulting, and demeaning."
"He may be a great basketball player, but he is doing nothing to bring our Country together!”
