Steve Scalise Puts Kamala Harris on a Milk Carton: She's 'Missing at the Border'
Republican congressman slams Joe Biden's 'border czar' as crisis worsens
Republican House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) blasted Kamala Harris during a Wednesday presser, arguing that she's has been missing in action from the U.S.-Mexico border as Joe Biden's crisis worsens.
Nearly three weeks have now passed since Harris was tapped by Biden as the administration's "border czar."
However, despite being tasked with trying to take control of the situation at the border, Scalise and many others have noted that she has yet to pay a single visit to the area.
At Wednesday’s press conference, Scalise hammered home his point by producing a milk carton with a picture of Harris printed on the front.
"Missing at the border - Vice President Kamala Harris," the milk carton said.
Rep. Scalise said that the crisis at the border had been created by the Biden administration as it rolled back numerous policies implemented by President Donald Trump.
He said Trump's policies had been working to minimize the flow of illegal immigration.

But it was Scalise's hilarious milk carton prop that stole the show.

The "missing at the border" depiction Scalise brought to a House GOP press conference harkens back to the missing children ads seen on milk cartons nationwide beginning in the early 1980s.
"This is out of control," Scalise tweeted during a recent trip with other Republicans to the southwest border.
"It's the middle of the night.
"We've seen dozens of children flow freely across the border in just the past few minutes.
"This is the reality of Joe Biden's disastrous amnesty agenda."

During a roundtable discussion on Wednesday, Harris said she would soon travel to Central America as part of her efforts to combat the root cause of the mass migration, according to The Hill.
"Our focus is to deal with the root causes, and I’m looking forward to traveling, hopefully as my first trip to the Northern Triangle stopping in Mexico and then going to Guatemala sometime soon," she said.
Fully dealing with the scope of the crisis will take time, Harris argued.
"It will not be obvious overnight," she continued.
"The work we have to do is going to require a commitment that is continuous, that we institutionalize with our partners, and that is the work that I am prepared to do which is to begin that process of meaningful work knowing that we’re going to have to have a long-term strategy and it will take some time to see the benefits of that work."
