AOC Blames Border Crisis on ‘Imperialism' and ‘Climate,' Doesn't Mention Biden
'It’s a climate crisis. It’s a trade crisis'

Progressive Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blamed everything from climate change, imperialism, and trade on the ongoing border crisis but failed to mention Joe Biden.
The New York Democrat sounded off on Instagram but failed to blame Biden for the border crisis, despite the surge being due to his policies.
“So let’s talk about this because so much of our national conversation, which is not a conversation, about immigration is driven by people who could not care less about immigrants," Ocasio-Cortez said.
"So often people want to say, ‘Why aren’t you talking about the border crisis?’ or ‘Why are you talking about it in this way?’”
“Well, we’re talking about it.
"They just don’t like how we’re talking about it because it’s not a border crisis; it’s an imperialism crisis."

"It’s a climate crisis. It’s a trade crisis," she declared.

"And also, it’s a carceral crisis because, as I have already said, even during this term and this president, our immigration system is based and designed on our carceral system,” she continued.
Ocasio-Cortez echoed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's recent claims that the climate crisis that “disproportionally” impacts Latin America, forcing them to flee north.
“Let’s talk about the climate crisis because the U.S. has disproportionately contributed to the total amount of emissions that are causing a planetary climate crisis right now, but who is bearing the brunt of that?"
"Disproportionally, it’s actually not us,” Ocasio-Cortez said.
“We help create the problem but disproportionally it’s the global south – it’s south Asia, it’s Latin America – that [is] going to be experiencing the floods, wildfires, and droughts in a disproportional way, which, ding, ding, ding, has already started a migration crisis but people don’t want to have that conversation.”

Earlier this week, Donald Trump's daughter-in-law Lara Trump slammed AOC for being hypocritical about the surge of unaccompanied minors at the border.
"Where is AOC down there doing a photo op crying in front of a wall?"
"Because I have news for her, it’s much worse right now than it ever was under the Trump administration, yet it has been crickets from those folks."

Sen. Lindsey Graham also blasted Ocasio-Cortez for her silence on Biden’s border crisis despite being outspoken about Donald Trump’s immigration policies.
“Where is AOC?” Graham asked.
“Why aren’t you at the border looking at the things being reported. If you were worried about children under Trump being in bad conditions, this is worse."
"If you’re worried about people having COVID outbreaks, this is the biggest COVID spreader in the entire country. So where are you?”
In 2019, Ocasio-Cortez told her millions of social media followers that Trump and his administration are "running concentration camps on our southern border."
"That is exactly what they are. They are concentration camps," Ocasio-Cortez said during a live-stream on her Instagram account that currently has 3.6 million followers.
The same thing is happening now, but where is AOC's outrage?
