Hunter Biden on His Role on Board of Burisma: ‘I Did Nothing Unethical’
'I don’t believe it would make any difference if I took that seat or not'
Joe Biden’s son Hunter has used his recent memoir to argue that there was nothing unethical about his role on the board of Ukrainian gas company Burisma.
But the younger Biden said in his memoir that he would reject the chance to do it again, citing partisan politics.
“I did nothing unethical and have never been charged with wrongdoing,” Hunter Biden writes in his book “Beautiful Things.”
“In our current political environment, I don’t believe it would make any difference if I took that seat or not."
"I’d be attacked anyway.”
“What I do believe, in this current climate, is that it wouldn’t matter what I did or didn’t do,” he wrote.
“The attacks weren’t intended for me," Hunter Biden adds.
"They were meant to wound my dad.”
“Beautiful Things” was kept under wraps while Biden’s business dealings became public and after the election when his finances became a matter of investigation by the Justice Department.

Joe Biden has repeatedly rejected criticism against Hunter's financial dealings, arguing there was “no basis” that he profited from foreign business partners by selling access to the then Vice President.
Biden recently tried to quell criticism by promising his family would not be involved with government or foreign policy decisions.
Hunter is currently under federal criminal investigation for international money laundering in relation to his shady foreign business dealings.
Last year, Neon Nettle reported Hunter's Ukraine energy company took hundreds of millions of dollars from Russia, China, and Kazakhstan.
According to investigative author Peter Schweizer's book, Hunter Biden forged other business deals with individuals and entities with ties to the Chinese, Russian & Kazakh governments.
The book is titled "Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite" and serves as a startling exposé of high-level political corruption.
In addition to his numerous Rosemont-branded entities and ventures, the book shows how Hunter Biden and his business partners were deeply involved with an entity called the Burnham Financial Group.
