46-year-old suspect was illegal immigrant from Mexico
An armed illegal alien from Mexico wanted on 11 felony counts for child rape was shot and killed after pointing a gun at police during a traffic stop in Arlington, Texas.
The Arlington Police Department wrote on Twitter:
"We are thankful no innocent community members or officers were injured."
The officer discharged his duty gun and struck the suspect. The man was pronounced deceased at the scene. It is unclear why the suspect wanted in Arkansas was in Arlington. 46-year-old suspect Juan Jimenez-Salas was found to be an illegal immigrant from Mexico who had previously been deported from the U.S, authorities said.
Jimenez-Salas was accused of repeatedly molesting the 10 years old daughters of his Arkansas girlfriend, authorities said.
Capt. Scott Harwell of the El Dorado Police Department in Arkansas said:
"Approximately 20 years ago, he was arrested on felony charges similar to that on what we have on him in this case now."
"And he was deported back to Mexico."
Jimenez-Salas is wanted on five felony counts of rape and six felony counts of indecency with a child.

Jimenez-Salas has been wanted by authorities since November after the girl's father told police he believed Jimenez-Salas had been raping his daughters.
The girls told their father they were raped in a McKinney, Texas, hotel room while traveling with their mother and the suspect.
Jimenez-Salas was traced by a U.S. Marshal’s Office task force to North Texas.
The suspect’s vehicle was spotted by local police before being pulled over for a traffic violation.
Jimenez-Salas pulled out a gun and pointed it at an Arlington officer, but the officer managed to fire at Jimenez-Salas, killing him.
Both girls are reported to be safe with their father in Texas while their mother’s whereabouts were unknown.
