Tom Cotton: John Kerry Has Long History of 'Not Following' His Own Rules
Biden's climate czar takes heat for flouting rules

Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., responded to the news of John Kerry flouting mask protocols while traveling on a plane, saying the climate czar has a history of "not following" rules he imposes on Americans.
"I guess we can say it’s better that John Kerry finally decided to fly commercial as opposed to jetting around in Gulfstreams all around the world when he’s trying to supposedly solve the climate crisis," Cotton told Fox News.
He said leaders need to "set a good example if they’re going to impose rules on the American people - they should try to follow those rules as well."
Neon Nettle reported American Airlines launched an investigation into Kerry after he was caught flying in first-class without wearing a mask.

Kerry has defended himself after a photo emerged of him on the plane from Boston to Washington D.C. without a mask, dismissing concerns as "malarkey."

"Feels like there’s some St. Patrick’s day 'malarkey' afoot on Twitter," Kerry wrote.
"Let's be clear: If I dropped my mask to one ear on a flight, it was momentary. I wear my mask because it saves lives and stops the spread."
"It's what the science tells us to do."

The passenger who photographed Kerry said he was wearing his make at the boarding gate but took it off shortly after boarding ahead of other passengers.

"Being an elite hypocrite is hard work!" the passenger said, adding the plane was mostly full.
According to the passenger, none of the flight attendants instructed Kerry to put his mask back on.
Cotton said that Kerry "has a long record of imposing one set of rules on Americans and not following those rules as is evidenced by his jet setting around the world to try to save it from climate change when he’s burning more carbon than one person does in an entire year."
Last month, Kerry took heat after he flew to Iceland on a private jet to receive the Arctic Circle award for climate leadership.
Kerry defended his gas-guzzling choice of travel, calling it "the only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win this battle."
Kerry faced criticism from Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, who led the Arctic Circle Roundtable, for using his private jet, the Icelandic outlet RUV reported at the time.
