13K Migrant Children in Border Patrol Custody as Biden's Border Crisis Worsens
Border crisis spirals out of control

There are now over 13,000 unaccompanied migrant children in federal custody as Joe Biden's border crisis spirals out of control.
CBS News reported children are “being held an average of 120 hours in Border Patrol facilities."
The legal limit is 72 hours that Border Patrol is permitted to detain unaccompanied minors.
As Democrats defended Biden and blamed Donald Trump's policies for the boder crisis, reports that Biden "encouraged" migrants to attempt to make illegal crossings into the US say otherwise.
Neon Nettle reported earlier this week that Customs and Border Protection (CBP) holding facility in Donna, Texas, was at 729% pandemic-era capacity at the beginning of March.

"Some of the boys said that conditions were so overcrowded that they had to take turns sleeping on the floor," Neha Desai, an attorney representing migrant youth in federal government custody, told CBS News.
The figures are unprecedented.
Department of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas stated on Tuesday:
“We are securing our border, executing the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) public health authority to safeguard the American public and the migrants themselves, and protecting the children,” the secretary continued.
“We have more work to do.”
There is understandably a great deal of attention currently focused on the southwest border. I want to share the facts, the work that @DHSgov and our partners are doing, and our plan of action going forward: https://t.co/sfa5nIGrP3.

But despite Mayorka's claims, the DHS and the Biden administration have not secured the border.

Trump warned that Biden's border policies are “destroying our country” and predicted the current crisis would worsen.
"My policies were working better than they’ve ever seen on the southern border."
“The wall was almost complete. We just had to fix little sections, complete little sections that had to be together.”
“People are coming by the hundreds of thousands. Young children are coming in, and they leave their homes, and they come up because they think it’s going to be so wonderful, and frankly, our country can’t handle it.”

Last week, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi blamed Trump's policies for the crisis at the border.
"What the administration has inherited is a broken system at the border, and they are working to correct that in the children’s interest."
"I’m so pleased that the president, as a temporary measure, has sent FEMA to the border to help facilitate the children going from one 72-hour issue where they are cared for as they are transferred into family homes or homes that are safe for them to be."
