Lindsey Graham: 'Get Behind President Trump' if You Want GOP Victory in 2022
Senator issues call to action to conservatives, says Trump will 'unify Republicans'
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) has issued a call to action to conservative Americans, declaring that Republicans must "get behind President Trump" if they want to win big in 2022.
The South Carolina senator told Fox News’s “Hannity” Monday night that Trump is vital for a path to success for the GOP next year.
Graham told host Sean Hannity that he has just spent the weekend with Trump and revealed that the 45th POTUS has been working around the clock on plans to lead the Republican Party to victory.
The senator predicts that Trump’s upcoming speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) will be “very policy-centric.”
Trump is scheduled to deliver the headline speech at CPAC.
“Every Republican should rally around it and I think it will help us with Independents,” Graham told Hannity.
“I’ve never felt better about President Trump’s leading the party than I do right now,” Graham revealed.
Graham said he expects Trump “will position himself as the alternative to Joe Biden” with his speech.
He will also “unify Republicans on policy,” Graham predicted.
“I think he’s been working the phones,” Sen. Graham said.
“I was with him all weekend.
"He wants us to win in 2022. Stay tuned.
"I think you’re gonna see over the next couple of months Donald Trump lead the Republican Party on policy and give us the energy we need to take back the House and the Senate.”
“The Democrats are doing their part,” Graham added.
“If we can get behind President Trump and follow his lead, we will win in 2022.
"If we argue with ourselves, we are going to lose, and there is no reason to lose.”
Asked about whether Trump is planning another presidential run, Graham said: “Stay tuned.”
