Nancy Pelosi: ‘Deranged And Dangerous’ Trump Should Be Prosecuted
House Speaker issues frantic calls to impeach President
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said President Donald Trump is “deranged, unhinged, dangerous” and called for him to be prosecuted.
During a segment of Sunday’s broadcast of CBS’ “60 Minutes," Pelosi took aim at the President in the light of the recent Capitol riots.
“Well, sadly, the person who’s running the executive branch is a deranged, unhinged, dangerous president of the United States, and only a number of days until we can be protected from him."
"But he has done something so serious that there should be prosecution against him.”
Earlier, Pelosi accused Trump of committing "an assault on our nation" and demanded his removal either by Vice President Mike Pence and the cabinet or by impeachment
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Pelosi warned:
“If the vice president and the cabinet do not act, the Congress may be prepared to move forward with impeachment."
"That is the overwhelming sentiment of my caucus and the American people," she continued.
“I join the Senate Democratic leader in calling on the vice president to remove this president by immediately invoking the 25th amendment."
"If the vice president and cabinet do not act, the Congress may be prepared to move forward with impeachment," the speaker added.
"He must be removed from office.”
Pelosi's remarks come on the heels of Twitter permanently suspending Trump's account.
In addition to Twitter, other companies like Facebook, Instagram, and Twitch have indefinitely suspended the president’s access.
