Rand Paul: If You Want Legitimate Elections, ‘Put People in Jail' for Voter Fraud
Senators calls for punishment for ballot box stuffing

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) called for people who stuff the ballot box to be put in jail to ensure legitimate elections in the future.
Senator Paul's remarks follow the Senate Homeland Committee's hearing regarding issues in the 2020 presidential election.
Paul insisted that people who commit voter fraud, or allow it to happen, should face punishment in order to ensure elections are considered “legitimate."
During a Thursday appearance on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” Paul said:
“[T]here is a serious point here: And I think if you want less fraud in our elections, you want elections to be legitimate, and considered legitimate, you have to punish those who committed fraud,” Paul told host Maria Bartiromo.
“So, 1,500 people were ineligible to vote because they were deceased in Nevada."

"Whoever did that needs to go to jail," the senator added.
"Four thousand illegal aliens voted," he said.
"They need to not be allowed to vote, but whoever allowed it to happen needs to go to jail," Paul continued.
"It needs to be fixed."
"So, we really do have a lot of work to try to make sure our elections are legitimate.”

“[I]f you don’t put people in jail for stuffing the ballot box, then you will get more of it.”
Paul's remarks come just days after Georgia announced it would conduct a full signature audit of the results in Cobb County.

On Monday, GA Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger ordered officials to conduct a signature matching audit of absentee ballot envelopes in Cobb County.
The move comes following weeks of pressure from President Donald Trump and his supporters.
The goal in ordering an audit is to “make our elections accurate and secure and believed by voters,” Raffensperger, a Republican, said.
Neon Nettle reported on the same day that a Michigan judge released a report on the audit of Dominion Voting Systems, revealing that the machines and their software were "designed" to "create systemic fraud."
