The governor of Rhode Island was photographed at a "wine and paint" night, days after telling residents to stay home to curb the coronavirus's spread.

Erica Oliveras took a photo of a maskless Democratic Gov. Gina Raimondo sitting at a table in Barnaby’s Public House in Providence, according to WLNE.

But Oliveras said that Raimondo had only just taken her mask off to drink her wine.

But others felt that Raimondo’s actions were hypocritical due to he fact she urged Rhode Islanders to "stay home except for essential activities & wear a mask anytime you’re with people you don’t live with."

Providence resident, Susan Goodman, told WLNE that the governor "shouldn’t even be at an event like that."

"You can drink wine at home," she said.

"I’m an experienced wine drinker Gina, do it at home," Goodman said.

Others thought the governor did no wrongdoing and that she was actually helping a small business.

"The main thing I took out of it is, ‘wow, she’s here at a small business, and she’s supporting," Oliveras told the station.

"She came in. She supported. She bought wine. She engaged."

Indoor dining is allowed at up to 33% of the restaurant’s seating capacity, according to the state's shutdown guidelines.

Raimondo is not the first Democrat to be caught displaying hypocrisy.

Earlier this month, Democratic Austin Mayor Steve Adler filmed himself telling citizens to “stay home" after taking a private jet to Mexico.

Adler hosted an outdoor wedding and reception for his daughter, who saw 20 guests in attendance, the American-Statesman reported.

The next day, the Mayor boarded a private jet with seven of the wedding guests and flew to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, for a luxury vacation.

Adler said in a Facebook video message to Austin residents:

“We need to stay home if you can."

“This is not the time to relax."

In September, Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was caught breaching COVID-19 restrictions to visit a shuttered salon after security footage emerged online of the speaker getting her hair done without wearing a mask.

Pelosi claimed at the time she was "tricked" into breaching the lockdown order by the salon and even demanded an apology.
