Trump Warns the FDA: ‘Get the Damn Vaccines Out NOW’
President addresses FDA commissioner, Dr. Stephen Hahn

President Donald Trump slammed the Food and Drug Administration’s delayed approval of the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine on Friday.
Trump wrote on Twitter, addressing FDA commissioner, Dr. Stephen Hahn:
“While my pushing the money drenched but heavily bureaucratic FDA saved five years in the approval of NUMEROUS great new vaccines, it is still a big, old, slow turtle."
“Get the dam vaccines out NOW, Dr. Hahn. Stop playing games and start saving lives!!!”
The FDA panel voted in favor of granting Pfizer and Biotech emergency authorization of the coronavirus vaccine on Thursday.
But the vaccine still has to be recommended by the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices.

A scheduled meeting is due to take place on Friday and Sunday.
Trump also expressed frustration that Joe Biden would potentially claim victory on speedy vaccine development, noting the former administration botched the development of a vaccine for the H1N1 virus.
“Now they want to come in and take over one of the ‘greatest and fastest medical miracles in modern-day history,'” he wrote.
“I don’t think so!”

Trump clarified his push to develop vaccines quickly.
The Swine Flu (H1N1), and the attempt for a vaccine by the Obama Administration, with Joe Biden in charge, was a complete and total disaster. Now they want to come in and take over one of the “greatest and fastest medical miracles in modern day history.” I don’t think so!

Earlier his year, Trump accused the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of holding back its decision on Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine until after the election for "political purposes."
The president said the FDA has deliberately delayed work on a coronavirus vaccination until after the media declared Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden the election "winner" in order to thwart his re-election hopes.
