Establishment media outlets like CNN and MSNBC also downplayed the Hunter Biden reports.

Tech giants Facebook and Twitter remained silent about reasons why they censored the explosive New York Post report in October, about Hunter Biden's foreign business dealings, following an announcement into a new federal investigation.

The report was blocked by Twitter, which cited the report was derived from 'hacked material,' while Facebook limited the reach and distribution of the article.

"While I will intentionally not link to the New York Post, I want to be clear that this story is eligible to be fact-checked by Facebook’s third-party fact-checking partners,” Facebook spokesman Andy Stone tweeted on Wednesday - hours after the story broke but mysteriously failed to go viral.

Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey later admitted that its policy of forbidding anyone to tweet out the Post's Hunter Biden report was a mistake.

Establishment media outlets like CNN and MSNBC also downplayed the reports.

Project Veritas published recordings which revealed that CNN president Jeff Zucker and CNN political director David Chalian urged staff to avoid the story.

White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany's own official Twitter account was also restricted in October for posting the bombshell New York Post story.

McEnany said the restriction is not a temporary one, saying the social media platform has her “at gunpoint and said, unless you delete a news story reported by the New York Post, I cannot regain access to my account.”

The story exposed emails sent from adviser to Ukrainian energy company Burisma, Vadym Pozharskyi, to Hunter Biden, thanking him for helping arrange a meeting with his then-VP father.

As Neon Nettle reported:

A computer repair store reportedly leaked the contents of Hunter's laptop to The Post after taking a copy of the hard drive before it was seized by the FBI.

The newspaper received images and videos of Hunter Biden - many of which were sexually explicit and depicted heavy drug use - along with batches of emails.

Despite having no experience in the energy sector, Hunter Biden sat on the board of Burisma and received between $50,000 and $83,000.

36% of Biden voters were completely unaware of the allegations, according to a Media Research Center poll.

On Wednesday night, former Vice President Biden responded to the news federal prosecutors have publicly launched a probe into Hunter's taxes, insisting he is "proud" of his son.

Federal authorities were forced to pause their investigation in the run-up to the election to avoid affecting the outcome, which would be a breach of the Justice Department guidelines.

Now Election Day has passed, prosecutors in Delaware, the IRS Criminal Investigation agency, and the FBI, have stepped up their probe by issuing subpoenas and seeking interviews, according to CNN.
