Rob Reiner: Prosecution of Trump Family Will Ensure 'Survival of Our Democracy'
'We can not let the firehose of corruption gushing from this Crime Family go unchecked'

Liberal Hollywood director Rob Reiner, warned that the very survival of American democracy would depend on President Donald Trump's family and administration facing criminal prosecution.
Reiner, a vocal critic of President Trump, references an August report that the Senate Intelligence Committee leaders had made criminal referrals of Donald Trump Jr. and Jared Kushner to the DOJ over suspicions they attend to deceive the committee during their testimony.
Reiner posted on Twitter:
“Lest we forget. The GOP run Senate Intel Committee has referred Criminal proceedings to the DOJ against Kushner and Don Jr."
"We can not let the firehose of corruption gushing from this Crime Family go unchecked."

“The survival of our Democracy demands they all be prosecuted,” the Hollywood star added.
Reiner, who regularly posts wild conspiracy theories against President Trump and his family, has claimed they are engaged in a range of criminal activities, without giving any evidence.
The director called for the creation of a “non-partisan commission” to investigate Trump after he leaves the White House, claiming it was necessary to “restore faith in our Constitution and the Rule of Law.”
But Reiner failed to specify what crimes the President would be investigated for.
“After Trump leaves, and he will, to repair the damage he has caused Democracy, it will be imperative that a non-partisan commission be formed to investigate him for Federal Crimes,” Reiner wrote at the time.
“It will be the only way we can restore faith in our Constitution and the Rule of Law.”

In July, Reiner has accused Trump of “murdering Americans,” citing the number of U.S. fatalities connected to the COVID-19.
“Over 135,000 dead and counting," Reiner said.
"The President of the United States is killing US. You can trash doctors and scientists," he added.
"You can try to spin your way out of this. But you can’t spin death,” the director said.
Reiner has frequently repeated debunked claims and conspiracy theories against Trump, to which Twitter failed to place a fact-checking or dispute notice on his tweets.
“He’s gotten away with assaulting women, breaking laws, violating the Constitution, and letting US die."
"The vote in Nov. is our last chance to hold him accountable," Reiner said at the time.
