GSA Chief Targeted with Death Threats for Refusing to Approve Biden 'Transition'
Emily Murphy details threats to her life, family, pets during attempts at coercion
The head of the General Services Administration (GSA), Emily Murphy, has said she and her family have been targetted with death threats for refusing to approve the "transition" for Democrat nominee Joe Biden.
On Monday, Murphy detailed the threats made against herself, her family members, and even her pets.
The GSA chief says the threats were made by those attempting to coerce her into approving the presidential transition of Biden “prematurely.”
Before she spoke out, President Donald Trump told Murphy to move ahead with plans for a transition earlier on Monday.
The president tweeted that he had told Murphy to move forward, though he reiterated that he is not conceding the election to Biden.
He said he would prevail in his legal challenges to the results of the election in several key states.
"I want to thank Emily Murphy at GSA for her steadfast dedication and loyalty to our Country," President Trump said on Twitter.
"She has been harassed, threatened, and abused – and I do not want to see this happen to her, her family, or employees of GSA.
"Our case STRONGLY continues, we will keep up the good fight, and I believe we will prevail!
"Nevertheless, in the best interest of our Country, I am recommending that Emily and her team do what needs to be done with regard to initial protocols, and have told my team to do the same."

Murphy wrote a letter to Biden notifying him that the GSA would make federal resources available to him in the event he was certified as the winner of the presidential election.
However, Murphy said she had never been told by the White House to delay the transition.
She added: “I did, however, receive threats online, by phone, and by mail directed at my safety, my family, my staff, and even my pets in an effort to coerce me into making this determination prematurely.”

On Sunday, CNN’s Jake Tapper told viewers that Murphy would be responsible for the deaths of Americans if she did not begin the transition process.
Tapper claimed, ostensibly, it was because Biden’s team would not have the information necessary to distribute vaccines provided by Trump’s Operation Warp Speed.
“Her actions could very well hamper the Biden team’s ability to deal with the pandemic when they take over,” Tapper said.
"It is a matter of life and death."
He then issues a warning to Murphy that her “legacy will be written in stone.”
