Joe Biden Claims Hunter Biden Email Story a Russian 'Smear Campaign’
Former vice president says Rudy Giuliani being 'fed disinformation from the Russians'

2020 Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden responded to explosive reports that his son Hunter leveraged his father's position to score a “lucrative” deal with Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
During an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes,” Biden attempted to brush off the claims as Russian disinformation.
Leaks were published by The New York Post from Hunter's laptop showing his business dealings overseas and more.
But Biden said the intelligence community has “warned”s that Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, who was given the laptop, was being “fed disinformation from the Russians.”
Rather than responding to the story, Biden shrugged off the allegations as “a smear campaign.”

Host Norah O’Donnell asked Biden:
"Do you believe the recent leak of material allegedly from Hunter’s computer is part of a Russian disinformation campaign?”
Biden responded:
“From what I’ve read and know, the intelligence community warned the president that Giuliani was being fed disinformation from the Russians."
"And we also know that [Vladimir] Putin is trying very hard to spread disinformation about Joe Biden,” he stated.

“And so, when you put the combination of Russia, Giuliani, the president together, it’s just what it is.
"It’s a smear campaign because he has nothing he wants to talk about.”

Biden's remarks come just days after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer insisted an investigation into the Bidens would "undermine the rule of law."
The laptop's content suggests the Bidens were allegedly involved in international business schemes, which secured payments with Biden’s position as VP as leverage.
Earlier this week, the FBI confirmed that the emails leaked from Hunter Biden's laptop hard drive were "authentic" and not part of a "Russian disinformation campaign," as claimed by the media and Democrats.
Last week, Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, also confirmed that Hunter's laptop leak was not part of a Russian disinformation campaign, despite the leftist media's claims.
“Let me be clear; the intelligence community doesn’t believe that because there is no intelligence that supports and we shared no intelligence with chairman Schiff or any other member of Congress that Hunter Biden’s laptop is part of some Russian disinformation campaign."
