Twitter Locks Trump Campaign Account in Crackdown on Damaging Hunter Biden Story
TeamTrump account locked just '19 days out from the election'
Social media platform Twitter has locked out the official Trump campaign account, @TeamTrump, citing the same policy for its ban on links to the explosive New York Post story on Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden, along with the Ukrainian gas giant Burisma.
Social media manager for Team Trump, Mike Hahn, revealed the censorship in a tweet earlier today.
“Twitter has suspended TeamTrump for posting a video calling Joe Biden a liar who has been ripping off our country for years, as it relates to the @nypost article,” said Hahn.
He added the suspension comes “19 days out from the election.”
The screenshot says the tweet violates the platform’s rules against “posting private information.”

TeamTrump has 2.2 million followers and plays a critical role in disseminating the campaign’s messages.
The account being unable to post is a major disadvantage to the campaign.
Twitter is also labeling links to the website of the House Judiciary Committee as “potentially unsafe,” due to posting from material from the New York Post’s story to the site.

This is not only dangerous and corrupt, it's clear election interference!!! https://t.co/fnOxLiU4cJ pic.twitter.com/dzjyD7LPMz
Facebook was first to limit the reach of the bombshell story from appearing in its News Feed, massively reducing its ability to be shared.
Twitter followed Facebook’s lead, censoring existing links to the New York Post article as “unsafe,” and preventing people — including the newspaper’s own employees — from posting new ones.
“This is a Big Tech information coup,” said the New York Post’s op-eds editor, Sohrab Ahmari.
“This is digital civil war.”

Despite the groundbreaking reports, Joe Biden said:
“I have never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings.”
