Biden Flouts Basic Hygiene Rules By Lowering Mask To Cough Into His Hand - WATCH
Former vice president blasted after clip goes viral

A clip of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden pulling his protective mask down to cough into his hand has gone viral.
The former vice president faced fire across social media for flouting basic hygiene rules.
Biden was speaking to an audience in Nevada when he stopped mid-speech to lower his mask and cough into his hand.
Such a practice defeats the whole point of wearing a mask and spreads more germs as a result.

Biden then used the same hand he coughed into to reapply and adjust the mask.
Earlier this year, Biden vowed he would force Americans to wear masks in public if elected president.

Former Vice President Biden said he would use federal powers to compel the public to use the face coverings during a pandemic.
"Second graders know to cough into their elbow!" one person tweeted in reaction.
Someone else wrote:
"Wait, either he & his disciples 'believe in science' or they don't. The advice for coughs has been without equivocation: cough into a tissue (and discard), or cough into your elbow. How is this acceptable?
"Or is this more 'rules for thee, but not for me' from the ruling class?"

Another stated:
"The whole point of the mask is to try and minimize the spread of virus-carrying droplets into the air.
"By taking his mask off and coughing, he is basically invalidating the mask, apart from of course spreading mucous (to) his hands and everything it touches."
Fox News reported that Biden had been criticized in the past for his lack of sanitation.
During an interview last March, the former VP similarly coughed into his hand but was immediately called out by CNN anchor Jake Tapper."
