Girl, 8, Fatally Shot Over Labor Day Weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago
Democrat-controlled city claims another young life amid violence

An eight-year-old girl is the latest victim of Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago during Labor Day Weekend's bloodbath.
The girl was one of seven people who were fatally shot over the weekend.
According to a report from Fox 8, the girl was in a vehicle with her mom and two adults while parked at a stoplight “in the Canaryville neighborhood.”
As the stoplight changed, someone in the vehicle behind them opened fire.
A 31-year-old man and 30-year-old woman, including the girl, were shot.
Both the man and women where shot in the back before being rushed to the hospital; both are in critical condition.
The 8-year-old was also shot in the back, CNN reported.

She was rushed to Comer Children’s Hospital but was later pronounced dead.
"Our victims' vehicle was parked facing northbound on Union Avenue with the offender's vehicle directly behind it," said Chicago Police Chief of Operations Brian McDermott.
"When the light turned green, the offender's vehicle immediately opened fire on the victims' vehicle."
The girl “is the sixth child 10 or younger to be murdered in Chicago since late June," according to The Chicago Sun-Times.
The vehicle the three people were riding in crashed after it was shot at.
The girl's mother was injured in the crash and transported to a hospital.

Last month, Neon Nettle reported Chicago had a 139 percent increase in murders during July 2020 compared to July 2019.
As ABC7Chicago reported:
Fifty-one people were shot, ten fatally, across Chicago over the weekend from 6 p.m. Friday until 11:59 p.m. Monday.
Police pointed out on more than one occasion that they, too, are emotionally exhausted by the rate of gun violence in the city, particularly this summer.
Chicago police canceled days off for officers ahead of the holiday weekend.
They extended shifts to 12 hours to put about 8,000 officers on the street to stem a tide of violence that typically accompanies long holiday weekends.
Meanwhile, Chicago street gangs formed a pact to shoot police officers who draw their weapons on suspects, according to the FBI.
Federal officials in Chicago warned of the worrying development as Lightfoot continues to lose control of the violence in her city.
