Trump Vows Law Enforcement Will Take Care of Radical-Left Extremists
President warns supporters to avoid violent leftist rioters
President Donald Trump has warned his supporters he does not want them confronting the far-left extremists causing chaos across Democratic-controlled cities.
Fox News host Laura Ingraham asked Trump:
“But do you want your supporters to confront the left-wing protesters, or do you want to leave it to law enforcement?”
“No. No. No,” Trump responded.
“I want to leave it to law enforcement.”
When asked if he wanted to confront far-left extremists, Trump responded:
“No, I don’t.”
The President's remarks come after a self-identified member of far-left group Antifa was implicated in a fatal shooting Trump supporter Aaron "Jay" Danielson, who was shot in the chest earlier this week.
The Oregonian reported:
A 48-year-old man who was accused of carrying a loaded gun at an earlier downtown Portland protest is under investigation in the fatal shooting Saturday night of a right-wing demonstrator after a pro-Trump rally.
Michael Forest Reinoehl calls himself an anti-fascist and has posted videos and photos of demonstrations he attended since late June, accompanied by the hashtags #blacklivesmatter, #anewnation, and #breonnataylor.
Meanwhile, The Department of Justice (DOJ) is "targetting and investigating" the leaders of Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and other violent leftist groups.
Acting DHS Secretary Chad Wolf said the DOJ is also going after those who are funding the radical-left protest groups behind the national unrest and rioting.
The Justice Department recently launched an investigation into the heads of BLM and Antifa over their roles in the violence that has broken out in Democrat-controlled cities across America.
Wolf began the segment by responding to Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden's suggestion that there would be more violence if President Donald Trump won re-election.
Trump said in the same interview, such groups were being funded from “some very stupid rich people.”
“[I]f their thing ever succeeded, which it won’t, they will be thrown to the wolves like you’ve never seen before,” he said.
