Leftist Thug Rips Trump Flags from Family's Home, Burns Them While Children Sleep
Montana family has been left traumatized after incident
A Montana family has been left traumatized after a man tore down their Trump campaign flags from their home before burning them as four children slept inside their house.
The far-left thug was later caught and charged with criminal mischief.
Surveillance camera footage caught Eric Herrera walking up to the family's house in Three Forks, outside of northwest of Bozeman, before tearing the flags down and setting them alight, according to police.
Julia and Robert O'Rourke bought the Trump flags in support of the President's re-election and hung them proudly on their porch in the town of 2,000 people.
"It's insane," Julia O'Rourke told MTN News.
"None of us knew! We woke up to a charred pile of flag in our yard, and had no idea," she said.
O'Rourke said she was more worried the fire could have set the house ablaze.
"I felt violated," she said.
"I felt that my kids' and my life and my husband's life were in danger," she added.
"It could have easily burned my house down," she continued.
"There was a fire ban at the time of the burning, and as close as it was to the house, it was very eerie."
When the family checked their security camera footage, they discovered a man stumbling to their house in the night, taking the flags and burning them.
After police examined the footage, they identified Herrera before arresting him.
Sheriff Brian Gootkin of Gallatin County confirmed Herrera was arrested and charged.
The Montana Republican Party tweeted on Friday:
"The liberal mob isn't just in cities across the country, it's right here in Montana, and it's threatening the safety of freedom-loving Montanans."
Liberals have regularly targeted pro-Trump flags in recent weeks, leading the Three Forks Voice to publish an op-ed entitled: 'Leave the campaign signs alone.'
"The most important thing is that we still have a roof over our heads, and our children are alive and safe," she said.
