Rob Reiner on Joe Biden: 'I See a Man Who Can Save Democracy’
Left-wing filmmaker gushes over Biden's 'painful' speech
Left-wing filmmaker Rob Reiner praised Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden following his widely-mocked speech in Pittsburgh.
During Biden's address, he struggled to read the teleprompter in a monotone delivery that even hardened Democrats found painful to watch.
But Reiner thought Biden radiated presidential strength.
“I watch Joe Biden and I see a man who can save Democracy,” Reiner declared.

During the former vice president's speech, he got lost in his own words while addressing the coronavirus pandemic.
“COVID has taken this year, just since the outbreak, has taken more than 100 year—look, here’s, the lives, it’s just, it’s, er, I mean, y’ think about it," Biden said.
"More lives this year than any other year for the past hundred years,” Biden added.

Biden also made futile attempts at deflecting the violent riots taking place across the country in Democrat-run cities and states onto President Donald Trump.
“Fires are burning, and we have a president who fans the flames, rather than fighting the flames,” he said.
“But we must not burn, we have to build.”
The former vice president also accused Trump of “stroking” violence in cities besieged by riots.

This is Biden's first in-person campaign since the coronavirus took hold earlier this year.
The former vice president has remained in his basement, keeping public appearances to a minimum.
Reiner also blamed Trump for riots across cities like Kenosha and Portland, despite the President offering to send federal help, which is continually rejected by Democrat Mayors like Ted Wheeler and Lori Lightfoot.
“Donald Trump is taking a page out Charles Manson’s playbook," Reiner said.
"Start a race war, then convince the public you alone can end it," he added.
"He’s a lying racist piece of garbage,” the filmmaker tweeted.
Last month, Reinerm accused Trump of “murdering Americans,” citing the number of U.S. fatalities connected to the COVID-19.
“Over 135,000 dead and counting," Reiner said.
"The President of the United States is killing US. You can trash doctors and scientists," he added.
Meanwhile, Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris claimed Biden would "end" the COVID-19 pandemic if he wins the November election.
