Sen. Kennedy: Kamala Harris is Just AOC ‘Without the Bartending Experience’
'Senator Harris is very, very, very liberal'

Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) blasted Joe Biden's pick for vice presdient, Kamala Harris, saying she is not the moderate that the media portrays her to be.
“Kamala is my colleague, so I want to congratulate her," Kennedy began.
"I think she is very personable,” Kennedy added.
“She’s very smart, she’s very aggressive, and she’s very liberal. I think of Kamala, I would describe her as Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez but smarter and without the bartending experience," she added.
"She’ll be a very formidable candidate.”
When the senator was asked if he viewed Biden-Harris as a “moderating influence” on the party's direction, he said, "No."

“Vice President Biden has promised to be the most liberal president in history if he’s elected, and toward that end, I think he picked the right running mate because Senator Harris is very, very, very liberal,” Kennedy continued.
“I think they represent the new Democratic Party, which I think has clearly moved to the left, I don’t think that’s particularly a newsflash for anyone.”

“I think they both believe we’re one tax increase away from prosperity and they will massively raise taxes,” Kennedy continued.
“I think they’re both very pro-abortion, they think that the border is a nuisance," he added.
"I think in terms of our enemies across the world, they think we need to be more understanding.
"I don’t think they believe that weakness invites the wolves, as I do.”

Democratic Georgia state Rep. Vernon Jones slammed Harris on Wednesday, arguing she would not "save the Black vote," and adding she is the "wrong person for that job."
He added Trump "has a better record on helping black men and women than Kamala Harris has, than Joe Biden has, and as this story gets told more and more, African-Americans are coming his way, and that is what they're afraid of.”
Meanwhile, former President Barack Obama praised Biden’s pick.
Obama tweeted:
"I’ve known Senator @KamalaHarris for a long time."
"She is more than prepared for the job."
"She’s spent her career defending our Constitution and fighting for folks who need a fair shake. This is a good day for our country. Now let’s go win this thing."
