Black conservative journalist and supporter of President Donald Trump, Andrew Duncomb, said he was stabbed during a Portland protest after his name was leaked to leftist demonstrators.

Duncomb was confronted by the person who he says was stalking him, according to reports.

The suspect is also believed to be a member of the violent far-left group Antifa.

Duncomb, who goes by 'Black Rebel' on Twitter, said he was "stabbed for being a conservative journalist," according to the Oregonian newspaper.

The journalist said he was knifed because of his conservative activism.

A horrifying video shows the moment Duncomb, 25, was stabbed while he was filming the protests by Portland's Mark O Hatfield federal courthouse on Saturday.

WATCH:

Duncomb, a black Trump supporter who frequently challenges Democrats and the leftist narrative, told Oregon Live he had traveled to the city from Northern California to give an unbiased angle of the situation in the Portland protests, which many Democrat officials have claimed was "peaceful."

Duncomb told the paper that he was there to prove it was not “the feds creating the problems.”

The conservative activist was with friends around 2 a.m when he noticed someone following him.

Duncomb is seen putting his hand on the person's shoulder before asking, "Hey buddy, why are you following us?”

The suspect then appears to shank Duncomb in the back, missing his spinal cord by a few inches, according to reports.

Suspect, David Hampe, 43, was arrested at the scene, according to court records.

The Washington Examiner reported:

A white man with alleged Antifa ties in Portland has been charged with stabbing a black Trump supporter.

Hampe told police that Duncomb tried to choke him, reports say.

But Hampe now faces charges of second-degree assault.

Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf warned protesters that federal agents would not leave the city until the federal courthouse is "safe and secure."

"We will continue to keep law enforcement officers in the area to make sure that that courthouse is secure at the end of the day," Wolf said.

Earlier his month, under the direction of Trump, armed federal police began rounding up suspected rioters on the streets of Portland, by picking off suspects and taking them away in unmarked vehicles.

Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler, who earlier this month vowed to not meet with representatives of the Department of Homeland Security who deployed federal officers to protect the Mark O. Hatfield Courthouse,  backed away from his stance.

Wheeler tweeted that he and Portland City Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty were “calling for an immediate meeting with Department of Homeland Security leadership on the ground in Portland and with Acting Secretary @DHS_Wolf to discuss a cease-fire and the removal of heightened federal forces from Portland.”
