Far-Left Thugs Surround Pro-Police Demonstrators, Burn MAGA Hats - WATCH
BLM counter protesters disrupt peaceful demonstration

Pro-police demonstrators in Denver were confronted by far-left counterprotesters who turned an otherwise peaceful event into a violent one.
Pro-police activists organized the "Back the Blue" event during the annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day outside the city's Civic Center Park.
Event organizer, Randy Corporon, said police requested he move the day of the demonstration due to a Black Lives Matter protest planned nearby.
“He was agitated that we're going to get his officers hurt,” Corporon said of the local police chief, the Denver Post reported.
“My response to him was that he should allow his officers to do their job, and if people are down there, breaking the law, to stop them."
"Because they'll have nothing to fear from us.”

Counterprotesters said they aimed to disrupt the pro-police event.
"We wanted to go and make noise and make it impossible for them to have the fun, celebratory experience they wanted to have," said organizer for the local Party for Socialism and Liberation, Lillian House.
The two groups clashed around 3 p.m., which local media called "chaotic."
Counter-protesters have surrounded the Law Enforcement Appreciation Day Event. Now starting at a combination of anti-police signs and blue-line flags. A lot of different noises, too. Protesters have noisemakers. Pro-police event-goers have music. #9NEWS pic.twitter.com/9eJivnAz4r

One unidentified demonstrator told CBS4, “We don’t agree with the police because they behave in a racist manner.”
Prop police supporter Adina Chapman said she traveled to the Denver rally from Colorado Springs to support law enforcement:
“I’m not saying there doesn’t need to be reforms,” she said.
“But if we don’t have police, we don’t have safety.”

BLM protesters reportedly chanted at the pro-police crowd while burning MAGA hats and a thin blue line flag.
Videos and images show several people throwing punches, with two women pulling one another's hair.
Conservative activist Michelle Malkin also posted a video of the violent clashes:
"This is the moment one of our people was beaten on stage by invading BLM/Antifa. Then BlackBloc lady took out baton. That's why I screamed @kyleclark. The crap BLM bitch sprayed in my face was still all over me."

One person was arrested for assault, Denver Police told 9 News.
Corporon said police should have been more forceful with the counterprotesters.
"... Cops were there, ready, able. Multiple Denver cops gave thumbs up, nodded, etc.," he said
"They knew we were there for them," he added.
"But, they were not allowed to engage. Next time, we won't wait on them."
