UK's Miss Swimsuit Stripped of Title for Posting 'All Lives Matter'
Miss Swimsuit UK scrambled to disassociate from model after posts
Miss Swimsuit UK was stripped of her title after her talent boss boyfriend posted "all Lives Matter" and "white privilege is a leftist lie" on Facebook.
23-year-old Jasmine Archer-Jones, who won the Swimsuit title in 2019, took to Facebook to share her opinion that George Floyd may not have been innocent and that 'ALL lives matter'.
Archer-Jones and her boyfriend, Todd Markey, both share the same views on the Black Lives Matter movement.
Markey, last month, posted a photograph of white BLM protesters with the caption:
"White guilt is real, white privilege is a leftist lie" before adding, "Couldn't have said it better myself."
Miss Archer-Jones faced enormous backlash after sharing her view on a post on June 3.
"This is ridiculous now. It HAS to STOP. ALL lives matter, if you look deeply into statistics, more UNARMED WHITE people DIED than BLACK last year.
"Yes some people may say George Floyd died when he was innocent but I am yet to see hard evidence of this."
"There is video footage of him refusing to get out of his car which warrants for the police officers to use whatever means necessary to restrain the person."
Miss Archer-Jones also notes that Floyd was intoxicated at the time, which is true.
The toxicology report said Floyd had fentanyl and methamphetamine in his system when he died, as well as cannabis compounds and morphine; a press release summarizing the report Monday listed arteriosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease, “fentanyl intoxication” and “recent methamphetamine use” as “other significant conditions” but not “cause of death.”
But regardless of facts, Miss Swimsuit UK quickly stripped Miss Archer-Jones of her title, deleting all traces of Miss Archer-Jones from their website.
A source said Miss Swimsuit UK scrambled to disassociate from Miss Archer-Jones as they support the Black Lives Matter campaign.
Miss Swimsuit UK explained on its website:
"The aim of Miss Swimsuit UK is to shape the beauty stars of tomorrow, meeting the demand among today’s social media generation for glamorous, accessible role models that they can aspire to and emulate."
The news comes a month after Conservative commentator Candace Owens was stripped of her GoFundMe page following her viral Facebook video, which deviated from the narrative of the death of George Floyd.
The fundraiser, which was created to help an Alabama bar, was pulled due to the controversial comments made by its owner about Floyd and protesters, reports say.
Owens is an open critic of the Black Lives Matter movement, describing it as a trojan horse designed to permanently alter American society.
"Black Lives Matter is a Marxist movement disguised as racial unrest,” according to Owens.
"We fight now, or lose America to violent communism,” the Blexit (black exit from the Democratic Party) founder warns.
"These thugs are delivering ultimatums to businesses & schools: Do as we say, or burn,” Owens added.
