Rob Reiner: ‘Trump Is Murdering Americans’
Hollywood director attacks president with baseless claim
Left-wing director Rob Reiner has accused President Donald Trump of “murdering Americans,” citing the number of U.S. fatalities connected to the COVID-19.
“Over 135,000 dead and counting," Reiner said.
"The President of the United States is killing US. You can trash doctors and scientists," he added.
"You can try to spin your way out of this. But you can’t spin death,” the director said.

Rob Reiner followed up telling his 1.1 million Twitter followers:
“There’s no other way to say this: Donald Trump is murdering Americans."

As of Tuesday, there have been over 3.2 million cases and 134,000 coronavirus related-deaths, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Although Reiner has frequently attacked the president over coronavirus-linked fatalities, he failed to mention Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D), whose state reported over 402,000 cases along with 32,000 related deaths.
In March, Cuomo directed nursing homes to accept coronavirus patients after they where discharged from the hospital, which some say triggered a massive surge in deaths amongst the elderly.
Over 6,400 of New York's virus fatalities can be linked directly to nursing homes.
According to an op-ed by a former Lt Governor of New York Cuomo was accused of ignoring Ventilator Allocation Guidelines showing a shortfall of ventilators (-15,783) during peak week demand.
Cuomo, however, deflected the blame on to Trump:
“Trump’s COVID scandal makes Nixon’s Watergate look innocent,” the governor said.
“No one died in the Watergate scandal.”
Last month, Reiner told his followers that voting for Trump “is a vote for death.”

Actress and singer Cher shared the same sentiment as Reiner, accusing Trump of killing Americans, ironically a day after the president wore a mask for the first time in public while touring Walter Reed hospital in Washington, D.C.
