Rep Andy Biggs: Antifa & BLM Have ‘Sent the Whole Country Up in Flames’
Top conservative calls for 'law and order' amid civil unrest
Arizona Republican Rep. Andy Biggs called for “law and order" after weeks of civil unrest following the death of George Floyd.
The Arizona Republican called out the Black Lives Matter organization, saying the ones who are rioting simply don't want to discuss “institutional racism.”
Biggs said the group’s leaders have created “massive division” while “raising money” while pushing “Marxist principles.”
As Neon Nettle reported on Tuesday, Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors admitted in a 2015 interview they consider themselves to be “trained Marxists.”
“Myself and Alicia [Garza] in particular are trained organizers,” Cullors said in an interview with the Real News Network.
“We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories.”
Biggs said he supported peaceful protests but argued that has been “hijacked” by Black Lives Matter leaders and Antifa activists.
“You had peaceful protests. I’m very supportive of peaceful protest. Everyone has a right to redress grievances with the government, right to assemble, right to protest, right to speak,” Biggs said.
“But what these guys have done,” he added, referring to BLM “is basically hijacked a peaceful protest movement, they and Antifa together, and basically sent the whole country up in flames.”
Attorney General Bill Barr and President Donald Trump said last month that the BLM riots were professionally organized and driven by "far-left extremist groups."
Trump described the rioting protesters as "organized groups" having nothing to do with mourning the death of George Floyd.

“President Trump understands that failure to enforce our laws, protect lives and property emboldens criminals and anarchists — and distracts us from the tragic death of George Floyd,” Biggs said in a statement.
Biggs emphasized the need for “law and order” to unify the country.
“The way you get to law and order is you’re going to have to make arrests of people who are looting, rioting, committing murder, mayhem, attacking whether it’s the statues or private property."
"Those people need to be arrested, charged and prosecuted,” he said
“You need to get order. Once you get order restored, then you can have a conversation, Right now, you can’t even have a conversation,” Biggs added.
