Republican Gov Slams Calls to Demolish Mount Rushmore: 'Not On My Watch’
Governor Kristi Noem made her intentions clear to the 'woke' mob

As the leftist “woke” mob continues their campaign to erase America's history, Republican South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem vowed to protect Mt. Rushmore from the prospect of demolition.
In recent weeks, various statues and monuments like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Christopher Columbus have all fallen victim to Black Lives Matter rioters.
Noem made her intentions clear to the "woke" mob on the prospect of them eying up the historical monument:
“Not on my watch," she warned.

Noem wrote in a tweet while captioning her appearance on Fox News:
“The men on Mt. Rushmore helped make America the greatest country in history."

“They weren’t perfect; nobody is,” she added.
“But we should learn from their example and work together to accomplish their dreams for our country.”
The Republican governor said because of growing threats online, it was possible far-left activists could be targeting Mount Rushmore for destruction next.

“South Dakota won’t stand for it," Noem warned.
“What my message is, is that this is no longer about equality,” she said.
“This is a radical rewriting of our history, and in South Dakota, we won’t stand for it.”
“This is a national monument,” the governor continued.
“The more we focus on the flaws of these men that are on our mountain, the less likely we are to recognize the virtues and the lessons we can learn from their lives.”

“So that really is the message that I have for South Dakota, that loves this mountain and Mount Rushmore,” the governor stated.
Noem said the monument is a federal work and will issue necessary security with the feds.
Earlier this week, a statue of Col. Hans Christian Heg, a Norwegian immigrant who died fighting against slavery, was vandalized before being torn down by Black Lives Matter protesters in Madison, Wisconsin.
Meanwhile, historic Christopher Columbus statue was also torn down, despite it sculpted by an Italian immigrant and was presented as a gift for Minnesota’s Italian-Americans.
On Monday, a memorial in California dedicated to survivors of the Holocaust was toppled and smashed by vandals.
The vandalism of the fountain, which was also used for ritual hand-washing, comes as rioters have destroyed numerous statues across the country in recent days.
The Black Lives Matter protests began after George Floyd died in police custody last month, sparking nationwide riots and looting.
