Black Lives Matter Founder: ‘We Are Trained Marxists’
2015 interview reveals movement's wider ideology

Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors admitted in a 2015 interview that many within the movement, including herself, consider themselves to be “trained Marxists.”
Cullors argued that the movement does “have an ideological frame" when pressed about the direction of the movement.
“Myself and Alicia [Garza] in particular are trained organizers,” Cullors said in an interview with the Real News Network.
“We are trained Marxists. We are super-versed on, sort of, ideological theories.”
“We don’t necessarily want to be the vanguard of this movement,” Cullors continued.
“I think we’ve tried to put out a political frame that’s about centering who we think are the most vulnerable amongst the black community, to really fight for all of our lives.”

The BLM co-founder also said she believed “we have some clear direction around where we want to take this movement,” added she did not believe “it’s going to fizzle out.”

Cullors was asked about an ideological presence within the Black Lives Matter movement in response to criticism from Jalil Abdul Muntaqim, who was convicted of killing two police officers in Harlem in 1971.

As Neon Nettle reported on Monday, Cullors stated the "goal" of Black Lives Matter is to remove President Donald Trump from the White House.
Speaking during a CNN interview over the weekend, Cullors confirmed the actual “goals” of the heavily-funded leftist activist organization.
Cullors stressed to “The Lead” host Jake Tapper that simply voting President Trump out in November will not suffice as he must be forced “resign” immediately.
Moreover, in a recently resurfaced video, Cullors made clear the organization’s ideological foundation.
"And so what we are going to push for is a move to get Trump out.”
“While we’re also going to continue to push and pressure Vice President Joe Biden around his policies and relationship to policing and criminalization, that’s going to be important,” BLM's founder said.
