Snoop Dogg, real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., recently revealed plans to vote for the first time in the upcoming presidential election.
“For many years, it had me brainwashed thinking that you couldn’t vote because you had a criminal record,” he said on the Real 92.3, per Page Six.
The rapper has gun and drug convictions but now says his record has been expunged.
When asked whether he planned to vote in November, Snoop Dogg said:
"Definitely.
"'Cause we got to make a difference.
"I can’t talk about it and not be about it," he said.
“I can’t tell you to do it; then you don’t go do it," he said.
"Everybody know I’m a front-liner."
"I ain’t gonna tell you to do something I didn’t do.”

The rap icon's remarks come as nationwide protests and riots sweep across America amid the death of George Floyd.
Earlier this month, Floyd's death was ruled a homicide, and he died from asphyxiation due to the police officer kneeling on his neck, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner confirmed.
Officials walked back initial reports that Mr. Floyd wasn't strangled when a Minneapolis cop knelt on his neck during an arrest last week after the medical examiner's office ruled his death was a homicide.
