Patriotic Homes Flying American Flags Targeted by Arsonists in California
Burning of flags coincides with nationwide protests across US

Homes in California proudly flying the American flags have been targeted by arsonists, according to reports.
Four homes in the Sungarden area of Citrus Heights, California, were targeted for displaying Old Glory.
On Saturday, Police urged residents to assist them in finding those responsible for setting fire to the flags.
Although the motive for burning the flags is not yet known, it coincides with the ongoing unrest throughout California and the US following the death of George Floyd.
One of the four victims, Marie Nuzzi, said after being targeted:
“If it had burned longer, it would have caught the house on fire."

“Somebody’s lives, for what?” Michael Howard, a fellow target, just wants to know why.
“This is the first time anything’s happened,” Howard said.
“Gut reaction? Is it somebody with an agenda?”
Authorities have not yet linked the nationwide demonstrations to the crimes.
Nuzzi was also hesitant to jump to conclusions.
“I really don’t want to think like that; I really don’t,” she said.

“I just think it was kind of a random thing.”
“It’s not worth it for me to put my family through it,” she said after stating she would no longer be raising her flag.
“There’s just no respect there.”
The news comes as Los Angeles saw a spike in homicides and shootings amid Black Lives Matter protests and calls from leftist officials to defund the police.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported a 250% rise in homicides and a 56 percent increase in shootings.
The worrying surge seems to reflect reports elsewhere in the country as riots and looting exploded alongside “peaceful protests” following the death of Floyd.
