British police officers were seen being chased by protesters through the streets of London during Sunday's "Black Lives Matter" protest.

Video of the incident shows crowds of cops running away from protesters, who pelted them with missiles while shouting "run piggy, run!"

Sky News correspondent Noel Phillips filmed the incident and uploaded the footage to Twitter.

The disorder broke out as police officers were attempting to make an arrest, according to Phillips.

He also shared footage of the crowd of the nearby crowd growing restive and throwing missiles.

The situation quickly deteriorates, with police officers fleeing headlong down the street to shelter behind the stone portals near the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

The mob is seen pelting the cops with bottles and aiming kicks at them along with cries of “run, piggy, run!”

Phillips had previously tweeted“What I’m feeling today on the streets of central London is unity…

"All about peace, fairness, equality and justice.”

He later uploaded more footage of a policeman walking back from the portals bleeding from the head while other officers rushed to reinforce them.

LBC News correspondent Matthew Thompson uploaded footage of a similar incident outside the Palace of Westminster which hosts the Houses of Parliament.

A sizeable police squad is seen being dogged by the mob, pelted with missiles, and then breaking into a retreat to screams of “run, piggy!”
