China Praises W.H.O. Director Saying He's 'Done a Good Job' Despite 342,000 Deaths
Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus gets top marks from CCP
So far, the deadly coronavirus which originated in Wuhan, China, has claimed the lives of 342,000 people around the globe, ravaged economies, and peoples' livelihoods, yet The World Health Organization (W.H.O.) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus was praised by China for his efforts.
Wang Yi, Beijing’s top diplomat, said Tedros had done a good job, and countries “with decency” will l support him in the future.
Speaking at a press conference, Wang claimed the W.H.O. was beyond reproach but failed to offer a single fact to back his claim.
“We hope all countries will realize that humanity is a community with a shared future."
"We must render each other more support and cooperation, and there should be less accusation and confrontation," he added.
"We call on all nations to come together and build a better world for all,” he said.
“As for W.H.O.’s international standing and its place in history, I’m sure clear-eyed people the world over will reach a fair conclusion, one that will not be altered just because some country doesn’t like it,” Wang added.
Wang said that those who throw mud at the W.H.O.will only stain themselves, defying countries who see nothing but hopeless mismanagement.
U.S. health secretary Alex Azar scored the W.H.O. for not obtaining or providing the information needed to stem the pandemic.
“We must be frank about one of the primary reasons this outbreak spun out of control: there was a failure by this organization to obtain the information that the world needed, and that failure cost many lives,” he said earlier this month.

In April, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus faced calls to resign from American politicians and others around the world over criticism that his organization failed to respond appropriately to the coronavirus and facilitate China's cover-up.
Leading the calls for Ghebreyesus's resignation is Sen. Martha McSally, R-Ariz., who said that she has "never trusted a communist" and that Chinese government's "cover-up of this virus that originated with them has caused unnecessary deaths around America and around the world... I think Dr. Tedros needs to step down."
She said she blamed Tedros for China's lack of transparency.
"Dr. Tedros deceived the world," she said.
Earlier this month, President Donald Trump threatened to permanently end U.S. funding to the World Health Organization (WHO) after a bombshell White House investigation uncovered several failings by the United Nations body.
“It is clear the repeated missteps by you, and your organization in responding to the pandemic have been extremely costly for the world,” he wrote in the letter to WHO's Director-General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.
“The only way forward for the World Health Organization is if it can actually demonstrate independence from China.”
