Warren Implodes Over Flynn Decision, Demands AG Barr Resign
The Department of Justice dropped Flynn's case on Thursday
Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) reacted to the news of President Donald Trump's former security adviser Michael Flynn having his charges dropped by the DOJ on Thursday, calling for Attorney General William Barr to resign.
“William Barr is not the President’s lawyer – he is the country’s laws," Warren said.
"His political interference is blatantly corrupt, and he should resign,” Warren added.

The Department of Justice moved to dismiss Flynn's case on Thursday.
Flynn pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about his contacts with top Russian diplomat Sergey Kislyak after Trump was elected in 2016.
In 2017, Flynn pleaded guilty in a special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into the collusion between Moscow and the Trump campaign, which has now been debunked.
The DOJ then changed Flynn's sentencing recommendation to six months in jail, which prompted him to withdraw his guilty plea, referencing the prosecutor's plea agreement being broken.
The charges were dropped after bombshell FBI documents were unsealed that showed Gen. Flynn was set up by disgraced Bureau officials.
In court documents filed Thursday, the DOJ said it was dropping the case “after a considered review of all the facts and circumstances of this case, including newly discovered and disclosed information.”
According to handwritten notes written by FBI officials, the goal was “to get [Flynn] to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired.”

Trump said Flynn is “an innocent man,” “a great gentleman.”
Speaking to reporters on Thursday in the Oval Office, the president described Flynn as “an innocent man,” “a great gentleman.”
“He was targeted by the Obama administration, and he was targeted in order to try and take down a president,” Trump said.
“And I hope a lot of people are going to pay a big price, because they’re dishonest, crooked people. They’re scum, and I say it a lot, they’re scum, they’re human scum. This should never have happened in this country.”
