Former National Security Council Chief of Staff and NSC chief of staff Fred Fleitz said former CIA Director John Brennan buried evidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin preferred Hillary Clinton over then-candidate Donald Trump to win the 2016 presidential election.

In a Fox News op-ed, Fleitz described Brennan as “the most politicized intelligence chief in American history,” which addressed the Tuesday report on the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence.

The document supports the conclusion by the U.S. intelligence community that Russia promoted the victory of then-candidate Donald Trump.

The committee released a highly edited document that fails to reference recently declassified files that point to a possible Russian disinformation campaign slander Trump.

Fleitz added that the Senate report is contradictory to the March 2018 findings of the House Intelligence Committee, which accused intelligence community assessment of being tainted by anti-Trump forces.

While acknowledging that “the political establishment and anti-Trump journalists gloated about the new Senate Intelligence Committee report as bolstering their biases,” Fleitz disputes the committee failed to adhere to proper procedures in their investigation, basing their conclusions on too few intelligence sources.

“The Senate Intelligence Committee report falsely claims that ‘all analytical lines are supported with all-source intelligence’ and that analysts who wrote the intelligence community assessment consistently said they ‘were under no politically motivated pressure to reach specific conclusions.’”

Fleitz claims that House Intelligence Committee staff members found the opposite, telling him that there is sufficient evidence that Russia may have interfered in the 2016 election, but not on behalf of Trump.

“More gravely, they said that [then-] CIA Director John Brennan suppressed facts or analysis that showed why it was not in Russia’s interests to support Trump and why Putin stood to benefit from Hillary Clinton’s election."

"They also told me that Brennan suppressed that intelligence over the objections of CIA analysts.”

Fleitz also stated that “Brennan suppressed high-quality intelligence suggesting that Putin actually wanted the more predictable and malleable Clinton to win the 2016 election.”

The Former NSC chief of Staff also implied Brennan relied upon “low-quality intelligence that failed to meet intelligence community standards to support the political claim that Russian officials wanted Trump to win … ”

According to NewsThud: the Brennan team added low-quality intelligence that failed to meet intelligence community standards to promote the political claim that Russian officials desired Trump to win.

They stated that CIA analysts also objected to incorporating flawed, substandard information in the assessment.

But Democrats and their left-wing media allies claim the House Intelligence Committee’s findings are not trustworthy because they were solely the work of what was then the Republican majority under then-Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif.
