Trump: Economy Will Have ‘Big Bounce’ Back After Coronavirus
President expresses confidence: 'We’re going to open up very strong'

President Donald Trump has predicted the US economy will have a "big bounce" back after suffering from the coronavirus crisis, arguing it will quickly recover.
The President expressed confidence the economy would come back from the drubbing it had taken from the lockdown.
During the daily White House news briefing by the coronavirus task force, Trump said:
“The economy is just going to do very well."
“I think we’re going to have a big bounce. … We’re going to open up very strong.”
Trump is also in the process of forming a second coronavirus task force explicitly tasked with reopening the economy as America comes out of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The president expressed his support for the idea of a separate task force charged with laying out a plan for “the reopening of the economy.”
A plan will need to be formed around the economic recovery as amid the easing of coronavirus-related shutdowns and other social-distancing measures.
President Trump is now in the process of following up on the idea, according to officials.
But some Republicans have warned the media trying to stifle economic recovery.

Earlier his week, Republican Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said mainstream media were making the coronavirus worse, so it will have a negative impact on Trump and the economy.
The Texas senator blasted anti-Trump media during an interview on Fox News with host Laura Ingraham.
Speaking of the way the press is handling the coronavirus coverage, Sen. Cruz said some in the MSM are "rooting for this pandemic to be worse and worse."
According to Cruz, the mainstream media is rooting for “disaster” because they believe it would be a mark against Trump's presidency.
“They’re rooting for this pandemic to be worse and worse."
"And you saw The Washington Post self-proclaimed 'fact-checker' was cheering about a line from the State of the Union where the president said we had the lowest unemployment in 50 years."
