Chicago Mayor Signs Order Giving Taxpayer-Funded COVID-19 Benefits to Illegal Aliens
Lori Lightfoot declared she would stand by the immigrant and refugees

Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot has signed an executive order that will give the city’s taxpayer-funded coronavirus benefits to all immigrants, refugees, and illegal aliens.
Several programs have been launched by the city of Chicago to assist residents financially during the e COVID-19 pandemic.
One of those initiatives includes a coronavirus Housing Assistance Grant program, an online resources program for students, and a $100 million Chicago Small Business Resiliency Fund to help struggling businesses.
On Tuesday, Lightfoot’s order also allowed illegal aliens to benefit from such programs, at the expense of the taxpayer.
“This order is more than just an official decree, it is a statement of our values as a city and as Americans,” the Democratic mayor said.
“Since COVID-19 first reached our city’s doorstep, we have been working around the clock to ensure all our residents are secure and supported, including our immigrant and refugee communities, who are among the most vulnerable to the impact of this pandemic,” Lightfoot added.

Lightfoot declared she would stand by the immigrant and refugee communities:
“As the federal government tried everything under the sun to stigmatize and scare them into the shadows, Chicago stood up and fought back. We upset some people, but we did so because it was really the only moral choice,” she said.
In March, Congress passed a $2.2 trillion relief bill providing financial assistance to Americans struggling under the coronavirus pandemic.
The historic stimulus package will pay $1,200 to all U.S. citizens, allocating $350 billion in forgivable loans to small businesses.
But progressive Democrats called for the bailout package also to include illegal aliens.
Far-left Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) blasted President Donald Trump and Republicans for not granting $1,200 coronavirus stimulus checks for illegal aliens in America.
The progressive socialist lawmaker is enraged that the emergency bill passed in the Senate last month, which puts Americans first and doesn't prop up illegals with taxpayer money.
"To clarify, $1200 checks are ONLY going to some w/social sec numbers, NOT immigrants w/ tax IDs (ITINs)," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
"Thanks to GOP, these checks will be cut off the backs of *taxpaying immigrants,* who get nothing," AOC continued.

Ald. George Cardenas (12th), who represents a large Mexican-American community in Chicago, blasted Congress for barring illegal aliens from the coronavirus stimulus funds.
“Congress’ response to this crisis has completely excluded the very immigrants that collectively pay billions of dollars of taxes, but more importantly they’re the heart and soul of the service economy: the ones that keep us safe, the ones that feed us, provide shelter for us across all industries,” he said.
Last week, President Donald Trump told members of the press that the reason illegal aliens living in America won't receive coronavirus stimulus checks from the U.S. Government is actually quite simple:
"They came in illegally."
The checks of $1,200 are for those who file taxes as individuals and $2,400 for those who file jointly.
On Tuesday, the Mayor cast her executive order has an inclusive measure for everyone living in the city.
“Here in Chicago, saying ‘we are all in this together’ means that during this crisis, no one gets left out, and no one gets left behind,” she said.
