Trump: Illegal Aliens Don't Get Stimulus Checks Because 'They Came in Illegally'
President responds to complaints illegals aren't propped up by American taxpayers

President Donald Trump told members of the press on Wednesday that the reason illegal aliens living in America won't receive coronavirus stimulus checks from the U.S. Government is actually quite simple: "They came in illegally."
The Trump Administration has faced criticism from the left after it was revealed that only American citizens and legal immigrants would qualify for the payouts.
According to the bill, illegal aliens are not eligible for the relief payments.
The checks are generally $1,200 for those who file taxes as individuals and $2,400 for those who file jointly.
The president was asked by a reporter about “undocumented” immigrants not getting taxpayer-funded relief money from the government as part of the COVID-19 emergency economic rescue package.
“Well, you know, you are saying undocumented, meaning they came in illegally,” Trump said.

"A lot of people would say that we have a lot of citizens right now that won’t be working, so what are you going to do?” Trump said.
Trump said he felt bad about the situation for illegal immigrants during a tough economic period.
"It’s a very sad question, I must be honest with you,” Trump said.
"But they came in illegally and we have a lot of people that are citizens in our country that won’t be able to have jobs."
The president said he hoped that the economy would grow back quickly after the virus was defeated.
“Its a really sad situation and it’s something we’re working on,” he said.

Last week, far-left Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) blasted President Trump and Republicans for not granting stimulus checks for illegal aliens.
The New York socialist lawmaker is furious that the emergency bill puts Americans first and doesn't prop up illegals with taxpayer money.

AOC slammed the GOP and Trump administration, claiming that the provision that will send money to individuals does not go far enough.
"To clarify, $1200 checks are ONLY going to some w/social sec numbers, NOT immigrants w/ tax IDs (ITINs)," Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
"Thanks to GOP, these checks will be cut off the backs of *taxpaying immigrants,* who get nothing," AOC continued.
"Many are essential workers who pay more taxes than Amazon. Wall St gets $4T[.]"
