Dr. Phil: Stop ‘Politicizing' Coronavirus - ‘Shut Up and Listen to Scientists’
TV physician says 'I don't care what the politicians say'

Popular TV personality Dr. Phil McGraw slammed politicians for politicizing the coronavirus pandemic and urged people to listen to scientists.
"We need to stop politicizing this and listen to the scientists," Dr. Phil said on ABC's The View on Monday.
"I don't care what the politicians say, shut up!" he added.
"Listen to the scientists. And you need to limit the sources you're paying attention to and limit the time that you spend obsessing about this."
The TV physician urged people to check the news a couple of times a day for updates about the virus, and not be paranoid if they get the coronavirus because most who fall ill don't require hospitalization.

Here are some examples of those in the political arena politicizing the coronavirus:
Last week, Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez suggested people avoiding Chinese and Asian restaurants due to the coronavirus are racist during a bizarre video.
“Honestly, it sounds almost so silly to say, but there’s a lot of restaurants that are feeling the pain of racism,” Ocasio-Cortez said during an Instagram Live video.
“Where people are literally not patroning Chinese restaurants, uh, they’re not patroning Asian restaurants because of just straight up racism around the coronavirus."

Earlier this month, CNN's White House correspondent Jim Acosta blasted Donald Trump’s Oval Office address on the coronavirus pandemic.
Acosta accused the president of “xenophobia” because he referred to COVID-19 as a “foreign virus.”
And not forgetting Hillary Clinton, who slammed Trump's response to the coronavirus outbreak on Thursday, saying it would help if he actually tried “giving a damn.”
The twice-failed presidential candidate tweeted Trump offering to “spell” out what needs to happen in order to contain the virus.
“I know this is all hard for you, @realdonaldtrump , so let me spell it out,” Mrs. Clinton wrote.
Clinton then suggested the president should support measures such as free coronavirus testing, and federally mandated paid sick leave and “giving a damn.”
