Biden's campaign digital director Rob Flaherty makes false claims after president's Oval office address

According to a top staffer in Joe Biden's campaign, President Donald Trump “decided” to let the coronavirus get “out of hand.”

Following the president's Oval Office address Rob Flaherty took Twitter:

“Sure seems like this is getting out of hand, and Donald Trump decided to let it be this way.”

Flaherty is the digital director for Biden's campaign.

The staffer's false claim comes after Trump urged Americans to put “politics aside, stop the partisanship among parties and unify as one nation and one family.”

“Each of us has a role to play in defeating this virus,” Trump said.

“Wash your hands, clean often-used surfaces, cover your face and mouth if you sneeze or cough, and most of all, if you are sick or not feeling well, stay home.”

“The virus will not have a chance against us," Trump stated.

Last month Trump accused Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) of trying to create "panic" over the coronavirus to give herself a "political advantage."

"She’s trying to create a panic, and there’s no reason to panic because we have done so good," Trump said.

"All they’re trying to do is get a political advantage."

The President also slammed the "Fake News Media" of attempting to "inflame” the coronavirus outbreak far beyond facts.

“The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything within its semi-considerable power (it used to be greater!) to inflame the CoronaVirus situation, far beyond what the facts would warrant,” Trump tweeted.

“Surgeon General, 'The risk is low to the average American,’” Trump added.

Last week, Trump signed an $8.3 billion emergency funding bill to help assist tackling the coronavirus.

“So, we’re signing the $8.3 billion. I asked for two and a half, and I got 8.3, and I’ll take it,” Trump told reporters.

The president acknowledged the spread of coronavirus was unprecedented before adding his administration was prepared to fight it.
