President Donald Trump accused the Democrats and the "Fake News Media" of attempting to "inflame” the coronavirus outbreak far beyond facts.

“The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything within its semi-considerable power (it used to be greater!) to inflame the CoronaVirus situation, far beyond what the facts would warrant,” Trump tweeted.

“Surgeon General, 'The risk is low to the average American,’” Trump added.

Some Republican lawmakers issued calls for putting politics aside in order to deal with the outbreak.

Up to now, there are 500 cases have been confirmed in the U.S, mostly in Washington state.

Last month, Trump blasted Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), accusing her of creating "panic" over the coronavirus to give herself a "political advantage."

Pelosi accused the Trump administration of responding “too late” to halt the possible spread of China’s deadly coronavirus in the United States.

“This is shameful,” Pelosi told reporters on Capitol Hill when asked about the administration sending a $2.5 billion supplemental budget request to combat the illness.

On Friday, the President signed an $8.3 billion emergency funding bill to help assist tackling the coronavirus.

On Tuesday last week, Trump donated his entire quarterly salary - $100,000 - to help combat the deadly coronavirus by directing funds to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

But the president's gesture prompted liberal Twitter users to compare him to Hitler.

On Friday, the President signed an $8.3 billion emergency funding bill to help assist tackling the coronavirus.

“So, we’re signing the $8.3 billion. I asked for two and a half, and I got 8.3, and I’ll take it,” Trump told reporters.

The president acknowledged the spread of coronavirus was unprecedented before adding his administration was prepared to fight it.

“It’s an unforeseen problem … came out of nowhere, but we’re taking care of it,” he said.
