Democrat Demands Trump Cancel Rallies Over Coronavirus, Doesn’t Mention Dem Rallies

Rep. Jackie Speier (D-CA) has demanded President Donald Trump should cancel his massive campaign rallies because of the threat of the coronavirus.
Speaking Sunday on MSNBC, the Democrat called out the president for not canceling his rallies but failed to mention canceling Democratic rallies.
During the interview, Speier claimed that the American public does not “have any confidence in the president,” saying Trump was responsible for “more and more people” who are “getting sick,” but unsurprisingly offered no evidence for her claims.
“The fact that he is not willing to cancel his various rallies suggests that he is willing to place even his most ardent supporters at risk,” Speier said.
“Because we’re supposed to stay six feet away from other persons in order to mitigate the exchange of those viruses," she added.
"I think that he is showing, unfortunately, why he is so ill-prepared to guide our country during this time of crisis.”

"I don’t think the president is capable of telling us the truth about the coronavirus," Speier claimed.
"And I regret saying that. I think we have to rely on the scientists who are attempting to tell the truth even when they have to contradict the president," she added.
"The fact that he is not willing to cancel his various rallies suggests that he is willing to place even his most ardent supporters at risk."
Trump has accused Democrats including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, of trying to create "panic" over the coronavirus to give herself a "political advantage."

Last week, the President donated his entire quarterly salary to tackle the coronavirus despite Democrats claiming he wasn't doing anything and a backlash from liberals.
Trump on Friday also signed an $8.3 billion emergency funding bill to help assist tackling the coronavirus.
“So, we’re signing the $8.3 billion. I asked for two and a half, and I got 8.3, and I’ll take it,” Trump told reporters.
Trump acknowledged the spread of coronavirus was unprecedented before adding his administration was prepared to fight it.
“It’s an unforeseen problem … came out of nowhere, but we’re taking care of it,” he said.
The President has since announced travel bans to Iran and parts of South Korea and Italy to help contain the coronavirus.
“There is no reason to panic at all,” the president said.
“Our country is prepared for any circumstance.”
