Disgraced former FBI Director James Comey was humiliated by Joe Biden’s campaign after the team publicly rejected his endorsement of the former vice president.

“Yes, customer service? I just received a package that I very much did not order," Biden's campaign spokesman Andrew Bates tweeted Tuesday in response to Comey's endorsement.

"How can I return it, free of charge?” Bates asked.

About an hour earlier, Comey tweeted that he voted in his first Democratic primary, giving his vote to Biden because he wanted to “restore decency, dignity to the office [of the president].”

“Voted in first Dem primary to support party dedicated to restoring values in WH,” the controversial law enforcement figure wrote on Twitter.

"I agree with @amyklobuchar: We need candidate who cares about all Americans and will restore decency, dignity to the office."

“There is a reason Trump fears @joebiden and roots for Bernie. #Biden2020,” Comey continued.

According to Western Journal, Comey is a lifelong Republican, but there was no doubt he would support a Democrat to take on his old nemesis, President Donald Trump.

The former FBI boss must have expected celebration from Biden's campaign after getting his endorsement.

So it must have been a surprise to him when his support was outright rejected by Biden's rapid response director Andrew Bates.

Bates did later walk back the comment, however.

“I forgot the #1 rule of politics, which is that if you talk about anyone or anything related to 2016, common sense goes out the window,” Bates said.

“It was meant to be a lighthearted joke – not a rejection. We appreciate the vote of anyone repelled by Donald Trump,” he said.

But the damage and mockery of Comey was still done.

Comey has become something of a political pariah on both sides of the aisle for his handling of matters related to Clinton’s email server investigation before and during the 2016 election.

His decision to reopen the investigation into Clinton’s use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state just 11 days before the 2016 general election was widely blamed by Democrats for costing her the presidency.

Less than a year into Trump’s presidency, the commander-in-chief fired him from his post, a move that immediately led to the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller, whose investigation into the Trump campaign spanned two years.

Comey has since become a vocal critic of Trump, publicly denouncing him on Twitter and encouraging Americans to vote against his party and administration in both 2018 and 2020.
