Mike Bloomberg: Trump Will Eat Other Democratic Candidates ‘For Lunch’
Former New York Mayor says other candidate's ideas 'made no sense'

Former New York Mayor and 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful Michael Bloomberg revealed the reason behind his decision to join the race for the Democratic presidential nomination.
During an interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes," the billionaire said he entered the race because he realized that President Donald Trump would eat the other candidates “for lunch."
Bloomberg added that the other reason he decided to run was that the other candidates' ideas "made no sense.”
“I started watching and listening to the candidates, and they had ideas that made no sense to me whatsoever,” explained Bloomberg.
“Donald Trump is going to eat them for lunch.”

Bloomberg on Friday said presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) would be “devastating for this country for decades” if he won the nomination.
In February's presidential debate, Bloomberg also accused Sanders of hypocrisy.
“What a wonderful country we have,” Bloomberg said, managing to cut through the noise of the other Democrat contenders on stage.
“The best known socialist happens to be a millionaire with three houses. What’d I miss here?” he added.
During last month's Democratic presidential debate, Bloomberg was targeted by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who called out his derogatory comments he had reportedly made about women who worked for him at the time.

Trump also shredded Bloomberg's chaotic performance:
“Mini Mike Bloomberg’s debate performance tonight was perhaps the worst in the history of debates, and there have been some really bad ones."
"He was stumbling, bumbling, and grossly incompetent. If this doesn’t knock him out of the race, nothing will. Not so easy to do what I did!”
The billionaire faced backlash last week after revealing he "spent $100 million to help elect" Dems to Congress and "bought" the House majority.
Bloomberg boasted that his spending efforts to fill the House of Representatives with Democrats also led to Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) winning the speakership.
The former New York mayor made the claim during CBS News's debate in South Carolina.
“Let’s just go on the record,” Bloomberg declared.
